I finished making this last night! It's to keep my embroidery organized while sitting on the loveseat. Where I seem to be doing all my embroidery nowadays. I was just going to make a small bin to catch thread but I thought this would help me from losing my snips and other tools. The pin cushion looks a little like a sausage.๐ญ ๐ But I thought that would be the best place for it and that color matched the flowers perfectly. It from my felt stash. I really like felt for pin cushions. The big pocket is for thread scraps but it ended up a bit bigger then originally planned, so my hoop and all fits in. Which is actually really nice. I absolutely love the gingham and lace details ๐ The yellow fabric is from my curtain sample stash. The smaller gingham pockets were just to hold snips and a pencil but I'm sure I'll find other useful things to put in there. ๐ซ Added the cute decorative stitch because I thought it needed something extra! The backing fabric was from a stash declutter that happens at work sometimes. Benefits of working with other seamstresses! All the lace and ribbon is from me just always buying cute trim when I see it. ๐ To make: I just sewed all the different parts onto the floral backing fabric, then added a back to that. (See cat pic, sorta) Then sergered around the edges and covered up the serger thread with lace. I was going to use bias tape but I didn't have one I liked and I didn't feel like making one.๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ After I finished it last night I was just like "it's so cute! Oh my gods, it's so cute!" ๐ I realize I feel like a proper old lady with it but in a good way.๐ I kind of want to make 50 more but that is just my day job sneaking into my head.๐ . . . #sewing #sewingproject #embroidery #embroideryorganization #grandmacore #cottagecore #sewingorganizer #couchorganizer #embroideryart #embroideryorganizer #embroidery https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn-Qmmey23o/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
