A soft sigh escaped her lips as the door opened. The sweet scent from the kitchen filled the room and Sunny rolled over and she silently watched the other girl. How could she think about leaving her behind? No matter what, Taeyeon had always been there for her, and Sunny could tell her anything. Except now.

"I’m fine," she said, maintaining eye contact as she sat up on the bed. It was obvious her words were forced, and she couldn’t even manage a fake smile to go along with it, but there was no point in trying to sugarcoat anything. Taeyeon would see through it. 

The words just wouldn’t come out. It wasn’t that Taeyeon had done anything wrong, but more that nothing was happening. Months ago they made their feelings for each other known, what was holding them back? Sunny had her reasons at first, but she knew she was over the past now.  She was starting to wonder that maybe things had fizzled out before ever even happening, but she didn’t want to think that.

For a second she pretended to sniff the air and chuckled lightly. She took Taeyeon’s hand in hers and tried her best to show a small, but genuine smile, “What’s that I smell? Are you baking something? … Is it for me?"

She smiled warmly at he question, nodding positively in response. "Of course it is! Anything I make is for you." If Sunny wouldn't open up to her now, then she would at least try to make it happen one way or another. Somewhere along the past few days, she could feel something of a divide moving between them. It was something that she couldn't quite put her finger on, but it was definitely there. Her hand moved out to gently touch the top of her head, rubbing her roommate's soft hair affectionately.

"Ahhh~ It's still late in the morning, and you're in bed. Soonkyu the sleepy head!" She teased her, giving a small laughing before her hand moved down to touch her hand softly, giving it a gentle squeeze. Her eyes shifted to the side for a moment, knowing that this act the both of them were putting up wold have to come to an end. She wasn't sure exactly how to say it.. how could she? (Am I the reason you've been staying in bed? Have I been causing you pain?) No.. She couldn't. Kim Taeyeon was always tactful around Sunny. She knew better than that, no matter how she felt about the situation.
