So, I have three months and 18 days until my next con. The project I want to make isn’t even designed yet, and is more difficult than anything I’ve tried up until this point. Part of me thinks I can totally do it, and the other part of me thinks the first part is crazy. I figure I have three choices.

Keep working away at Raven Queen, buckle down and make sure she gets done, even if it’s not 100% how I want her to end up.

Work on a different cosplay for this con, keeping RQ in the background for any time I get bored/want to work on something different. But I don’t really have any other projects in mind.

Drop RQ altogether until after the con so that I definitely end up with one cosplay I’m happy with and can wear, even if the character isn’t super exciting to me.

Annnnd after typing that all out, my only real option is number one. Guess I need to go away and start sketching for a while...

Also Nanu fuck your dumb face. Colress your hair is so dumb so never you haha. Love your clothes though. But money / time eehhh. I’ll stick to Maxie for now. <3 (I love his character a lot whereas the others are more I just love the aesthetics.) I’ll probably end up doing Guzma in time for Animenext. If I somehow get ambitious maybe Faba will happen, but more likely I’ll be too lazy and busy, Guzma is sooooo much easier. (either one would match nice to my one friend doing Wicke).

Ehhh I'm mad at myself for not pushing to try and get more photos during the con. The only photos I took were on my phone and were some selfies of me with some other Gravity Falls peeps when I managed to make it to the end of the Saturday Gravity Falls shoot. It would have been nice to put aside some time and grab a friend to get some good photos of my new costume of Yami Yugi at least. Things go by so fast. :'3 Nowadays I kind of just like experiencing things and not having my phone out constantly trying to take photos of every little thing, but then it's a double-edged sword I'm a little sad I don't have a lot of pictures to show after the weekend's over. It's a hard balance to strike. Also in my minimal free time I had intended to walk into the tabletop room and make some Dungeons & Dragons jokes as Ford, and same for Yami going over to the card games tables, but I totally forgot. Weh, next time. :'3 It is not like I won't wear the characters again.

Also, because it’s humanstuck, I can see sollux as borderline hipster? Him and Dave are very alike, similar speech and all, and it’s a lot more hipstery to have checkered shoes? Okay, Quincy says it's his normal coat and pants under the bathrobe robe. I say it's a green robe. Mom says it's a skirt.

Quincy's answer makes the most sense in SP canon (it's supposed to be a closet cosplay). However, I've already bought and cut the fabric.

My answer makes the most sense in a fantasy setting (where the heck would he have gotten a green robe like that, unless he swiped a dress from his mom?)

Mom's answer is the easiest answer (though what the frick do I use as the top)

Let's remember that in the actual art, he has no legs, so yeah.

Mom also says she'll sew the whole thing for me if in ACNL I get her the train station upgrade + catch sharks for her so hmm... *chin rubs*

I'm almost thinking going a little more complicated and making the green robe (as a sleeveless design), and having an orange overshirt/vest/scarf (crap I like the scarf idea actually) overtop.

If I hadn't already bought and cut the fabric, this wouldn't be a big deal, but... I already have it, and the green's already cut. ^^;

Probably a bit late in the day for it, but I wonder if my Yoite wig could double up to work for a Yato cosplay too...?

(Actually it might not be too late because I'd only need a black tracksuit and have to add a gold zip and the stripes to it, then do the cloth around his neck oh god this might become a thing why would I do this to me?)
