                          This has been something that the two have been waiting for since Minato had slid the rose-designed ring onto the Goddess’s finger. Weeks ago, Madoka had accepted his proposal-- a question that was so out of the blue that all he did was fire the question in a moment were the two were just being quiet together. Soon after, they’ve made bits and peaces of effort into the impending ceremony-- visiting churches, looking for attire, and low-key discussions about being a family. When everything was finalized, they decided to have this as intimate as possible-- just the two of them, in a church, and being separated days before the big day.

                         The reason for that last one? So that they get to surprise each other with what they’ll wear to.

                         And t’was the morning of Christmas Eve, and the wielder of the Universe Arcana had arrived onto where they chose to meet-- the same church that holds so much significance to one of her friends (maybe she got her permission to borrow for today?). Just walking towards the place, and through the aisle  made his heart beat a little bit faster. Gods, when was the last time he was this nervous? Not even the lead-up to Nyx got him like this and yet, his heart was beating at an erratic pace, face flushed and fidgeting. Then again, what kind of groom wouldn’t be nervous?

                         “Oi, Kaname! Are you done changing yet?”

                         He calls from the bottom of the stairwell, aptly waiting for the pink-haired housemate to finally emerge from her quarters. It had been fifteen minutes of waiting passed; surely she couldn’t take this long to change into the Gekkoukan uniform, can it? Then again, Madoka did tell him well before today that it’ll be the first time in a very long time since she’s had the chance to don any kind of school uniform. For Minato’s case, it’s been a few years. This is not the first time in the rodeo for the both of them-- but experience and length of time since then was a little concerning.

Her family was still there. They hadn’t faded away, as so much else had... And they were safe, still.

She made her way quietly to the bed, waving a hand to transform her long, flowing dress into a simple nightgown. She would climb into their shared bed, with that, careful not to wake Madoka... And then move to press herself against her, arms going carefully around the other Goddess’s slender form... And, finally, she pressed her lips gently against the back of her fiancée’s head, letting the now-familiar scent of her long, pink hair fill her nostrils. Purple eyes closed, finally, for that brief respite of sleep.

BURNING tears dripped down reddening cheeks, a restless sleep bringing about deadly dreams of thign she could not make sense of in her state. A precious Seraph to suffer under memories she never had given to her by the Cycles.
