Diplomatic affairs were not, nor ever were or would be his strong suit. However, taking up the mantle of master of ships after years at sea meant than when such endeavors took place and especially when high ranking figures were involved and travel by sea was required Thallan was there.
He would take any excuse to sail. A voyage to Kaleris was an excellent excuse to be at sea for undetermined time. The downside was the duty that awaited once they arrived.
The half-elf fumbled with the clothes, the fabric new and recently dyed, fancier than most of what he owned or cared to wear at sea. His footsteps seemed loud in the Guilded Plume, and he could only hope it wouldn't take too long before they were freed to be at sea again.
The sight of a familiar face walking towards him was a welcome distracting, almost as much as the mead he lifted to his mouth. "It has been some time, Corvus," He greeted with a short nod, "Keeping busy I suppose?"
He admired the other's disposition, even if at times he thought he ought to take a break. The sea might do wonders for a man, but he had the inkling that he and Corvus might be as similar as they were different. He couldn't say for sure though, not with the how little they saw each other.
"Care for a drink with a bored sailor?"
