Today we celebrate the existence of one of the most intelligent birds on the planet - the Corvid family! As you all know I ADORE Corvid birds, especially ravens. 🐦‍⬛🖤 The main character of my favorite personal project - @comradezimovsmurdermysteries is based on a raven! In case you haven't seen it, I made a post on that blog today with an art of Zimov with his ravens and I highly recommend you to check it out!

Now a few fun Corvid facts about the creator - Vranel!

My artist name Vranel comes from the Bulgarian word "vrana", which means crow.

In my town, there is a river named "Vrana". And the whole town has a lot of Corvids!

Just like Zimov, I too feed the local Corvids. I feed crows on my balcony and a few rooks and magpies in the backyard of my apartment complex.

4. I went to a trip to Sofia, to visit my friend Anna! You remember her amazing comics, right? 👀 I even drew Zimov with one of her characters, because they just so happen to share a first name. Well, guess who was the second main star of that trip! That's right! The Corvids:

5. My favorite Corvid character is Mr. Crow from the Rusty Lake series. I love those games!

6. I love Corvids in mythology and I love putting ties to them in my stories. Expect a lot more in Zimov's as well as all my other future projects! 👀
