With the new Call Cruel King card (and him being yknow, dead) I’d like to imagine him being a spirit that just follows the player around. No one else can really see him or his presence. He helps out with full effort when the player calls on his card.

And with Hatred, since it’s an ‘inner demon’ by the guru, it probably still lingers around the player, just in a really more weakened state that it doesn’t taint their soul. However, now with the King and Hatred being in the same mind place, they don’t exactly get along.

The King gets along well with the player. Hatred doesn’t. You can assume what happens next. (I like the idea of King becoming understanding and protective of the player)

As for Griefer, surviving as a sword wielder, some of the lingering effects allow him to see these previous sword wielders sometimes. This would probably apply to future sword wielders as well :3
