its usually him eatinf, talking, getting dressed or when he's in a flow state or whatev during his experiments, & to any of the other raiders all his pictures look ttoootally unremarkable. is this good enough

there's like 2% of like in zodyl's whole body when it comes to aima. i feel like, bc zodyl's so data centered, he's more interested in aima's usefulness and what's wrong with him than him as an actual person?

there's a tiiiiiny tiny part of him that feels like he CAN be normal around aima and indulge him just a little, but he always catches himself and realizes this is transactional and not a proper relationship (romantic or not) between him and aima

what i mean by defender is people who refuse to see/draw john as ANYTHING other than june. like they deny john as a character and won't accept him in any situation

idc for june. she's cute and wonderful. but ive seen people deny john as who he is and basically replace him w june. it's not a matter of 'uugh i dont think anybody should draw june ever' but more that i feel when people personalize her so much to the point that john doesn't mean anythhing as a character, it's a toxic ideal. also tbf i haven't engaged much in the june brigade (?) purely because she never felt significant to me.

when it came to roxy, he was (more or less in meat) explicitly shown not to identify as a girl. so when people draw him as such, idc bc that's how he's presented now. but june was, as far as i know correct if wrong, never put into hs as a part of the main storyline. so when i see people forcing her as what john is supposed to be with total denial of john, that to me feels like overpersonalizing a character to the point of removal of its base features. & i dont want that
