This blog will be under some construction! I hope to update my art and start posting once again :)

I'll still always go by "Corn;" but I think a new artist name is well over due than the one I made up on the spot my freshman year of high school! (wow long time) But I'll accept new nicknames from this new username as well :) Clem/Lem/whatever comes up!

Clemonthyne (pronounced Clementine) combines three plants: clementines, lemons, and thyme!

Clementines can mean releasing your own limitations and thinking out of the box; or just general enthusiasm and joy. However, the former meaning probably comes since clementines were actually not a man-made hybrid as most citrus are! It was a spontaneous hybridization in nature, and I do love some good spontaneity.

Lemons can represent renewal, love, and friendship! Also they're yellow and that's my favorite color :)

Thyme can mean strength, courage, and sacrifice.

I know I haven’t been posting lately (that will change very soon!) but just wanted to say happy pride month!!!

I know I’m not that active on here (trying to get my instagram account up to date on all my art! It’s @corny_doodles if you wanna follow that account!)

However, the inactivity will ensue when it comes to art, as I’ve been going through an art block. I have a lot of commissions queued up still (thanks for the support with that, it means a lot!) but it’s been hard getting through them with my current state and since I’m a full time student.

I recently got an internship I’ve been wanting for a while, which I’m super excited about! And it’s another reason why I’m closing off commissions for now because that’ll be a part time job in April (not to mention I’ll be doing school part time in the summer too oops) and I just want to feel out that schedule first.

I’m planning on being more active on my Laito analysis blog, @everything-laito if you like Diabolik Lovers and Laito Sakamaki more specifically. I post my Laito analyses there. I know I keep saying I’m going to be more active on there but I really do want to try to be more active there :’‘‘)

Anyways I might still stream here and there, I know that I’m going to be streaming with friends this weekend so keep an eye out for that! We’re gonna be doing some fun art games!

I just don’t get a lot of asks on here, that’s why! You’re all good with asking stuff on here :) I use MediBang Paint Pro! It’s free and wicked nice! I might be moving over to Clip Studio Paint, but it’s too overwhelming for me to learn vector art right now :’) But I might be using a combo of both programs soon.

However, if you’re not planning on using vector art, MediBang is a suuuuper good program! If you need absolutely any help with anything in MediBang, or even more questions pertaining to me (like what brushes I used in certain pieces etc) I’m more than happy to answer at any time!

I,,, I literally kinda huck hands and feet :’’) I’m a bit better at feet than hands (they’re just a bit easier imo), but my main thing is to always use a reference, whether that be a picture online or yourself. Legitimately always use a reference, no matter what it is, especially if you’re getting into art.

Or do hand/feet studies! (I know most people don’t wanna stare at feet for a long period of time tho, myself included lkdfjasdf) but observation and references are always great.
