hello!!!!!!! thank you!!!!!! i spent my birthday with my girlfriend napping mostly and then i had some directing to do #director so that was ok. i did have Two Tests but i also signed myself out of school which was hypeeee

im like less sick than i was when i fell asleep so mostly i am just chilling at home :}

1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?

Arthur is best described as transneutral or transfeminine genderfluid, with any pronouns, although because of the nature of their world they live in (no concrete labels) they don't say that. She's got a lot of shame and anxiety over her gender, because being a strong male leader is extremely important to her family legacy, but connecting with Rosalind and Orion over the course of the story helps her begin to unpack that.

3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?

For bisexuality, he kind of just figured it out one day around age like 15 and went, "Fuck! I will never think about this ever again!" and then proceeded to be haunted by it every single day of their life. they never exactly discover the aroace spec thing in a label sense, though, more always being like "I Am Weird About Sex And Love".

for gender, they discover it over the course of the story in the After portion (age 21ish), because of being away from familial expectations for the first time and really having nothing less to lose

5. How did you figure out your oc's identity?

Arthur was conceptualized as bisexual and arospec and the demisexuality and gender snuck up on me. i realized they worked thematically really well with arthur's complex relationship to sex and masculinity and just went with it

11. Is your oc open about their identity? Are they more lowkey or more blunt about it? Why or why not?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE! Why Not: family and society. Arthur is literally growing up in a cult, she does not have time to be bisexual and transgender on top of that shit. by the end of the story she's open with the people she loves, although it's still complicated and her authenticity within the world at large is unfortunately limited. it's a story about a lot of compromise with oneself, for better or for worse.

14. Do you have ocs on the aro or ace spectrum?

yep! Arthur is demisexual demiromantic, Orion is asexual alloromantic, Maisie is an aroace lesbian, Casper is aromantic allosexual, Jules is demisexual, Valarie Saintly is aroace, Mack is non-SAM aro, Theo is on the asexual spectrum (somewhere), and a lot of older ocs i have are on these spectrums as well but i don't really talk about them anymore.

edit: oh my god eleanor and charlie im sorry i forgot you eleanor and charlie the aspec ocs of all time. eleanor is aceallo and charlie is aroallo and like theyre my ocs ever of all time

20. Have your ocs helped you in self discovery? How?

shoutout to my oc corey i made when i was Ten Years Old who went from a 25 year old cisgender man to a 16 year old transgender gay kid over the course of me being 10-13 and was quite frankly pivotal in me understanding I Am A Tranny. for awhile after that some of my friends would be like "wow! corey looks so much like you haha, is he a self insert? is he just you?" and i had to look them dead in the tumblr dms and say "no. i am a corey insert. he was like this first. i became him"

Ehh I don't really see any interactions happening between them. They might've seen some of Queen's shitposty humor around Cyber City and got a kick out of it, that's about it x'D They do think she's hot tho 👍

And I'm not even sure they know King exists. Their timeline doesn't quite line up with the timeline that Spamton, King & co. were first able to connect to TV World. It was very much a case of Corey mindlessly living their day-to-day life in their corner of Cyber City until they realized there was actually an out. They JUST made it to TV World before Kris stopped bringing Queen's laptop to their house altogether.
