Hi, I saw your TS2 Deadly Mods Made Autonomous for mainly the supernaturals. I would love to do the non-letal versions made by Meduza autonomous too. Do you have some pointers ou ressources you used to made those tweaking for making them autonomous ? Thanks for the informations !
I followed what @tricky-trait explained here, which is what functionally makes it autonomous, but when there's no other parameters then sims might end up doing constantly, as I discovered after one sim killed 10 other sims in 12 hours.
to add a restriction that lessens the frequency of sims autonomously doing it, I inserted a line into the BHAV that makes it so they won't do it until one of their motives reaches the threshold where it turns orange (so like ~75% empty).
idk anything about modding so idk how to do that off the top of my head, but the mod Autonomous Suck Blood already has a line requiring Hunger to reach 75% empty before sims do it, so I found the line in that mod's BHAV that mentioned Hunger & copied it into the mods I'd been editing. it was a lot of guesswork so idk the "right" way to do it, I just used Autonomous Suck Blood as a base of comparison for where to insert new lines and what they should look like.
there are definitely other ways to implement restrictions that involve things other than motives, but like I said idk anything about modding so I'm personally not sure how those would work.
the other thing is that there's still another factor to the frequency a sim will do the action even after adding a restriction, which is based on the TTAB.
I learned about TTABs from this guide, and although that guide is talking about object advertisement, social interactions work in a similar way. as the guide says, even when something is set to be autonomous, sims won't do it if the advertising isn't set in a way that would entice them to choose it out of all the other things advertising to them, based on intensity/motives/personality.
one caveat though is that to implement the advertisement in the way you actually want it, you have to switch around a few things from how it's explained in iCad's guide, because the columns are labeled incorrectly by SimPE. that's explained here and I also kinda summarized that in my own post here
