This person is also ignoring the fact that if the NDP is already in power in your riding (like they are in mine) it makes ZERO sense to vote Liberal "strategically"
This is exactly my scenario.
Both the areas where I live in the summers (my parents riding) and where I go to university are NDP/Conservative ridings. Literally nobody else has won from another party for decades.
Voting Liberal in either of these ridings helps the Conservatives.
In the riding I go to university, the NDP was winning for most of the election until the Liberals starting surging, so the NDP and Liberals tied and the Conservatives won by less than 5%.
In my parents riding the NDP won under a very narrow margin. A few hundred Liberal votes here would have given the riding to the Conservatives.
If people are serious about strategic voting (which I disagree with) they need to look at riding by riding, not just decide unilaterally that Liberal is the best option everywhere, because it is not.
