Copper Bullet: From Ice Cream to Bananas, It’s a Wild Ride

In the spirit of honesty, this was not one that I voted for my top five of season seven. Sorry, but I lean towards the earlier part of the season and then the finale.  However, that doesn't mean I don't understand why it made the list.  The teamwork in this episode is lovely to see.  Oh, sure, there was an obvious issue that needed to be resolved between Jane and Lisbon but they were working together and trying to talk to each other so that was a manageable level of angst.  The rest of the episode was a lot of fun.  

Jane fighting to keep the Abbotts from being destroyed by his old boss, Peterson, and creating a con to get the damning evidence destroyed.

Of course, the part of me that watched a lot of years of Law & Order does wonder if they were going to be able to get a conviction against Peterson. Granted, they got him to confess but only after they had illegally searched his home.  Would a judge ruled that the confession was only the result of the illegal search and therefore everything was inadmissible in court?  I guess the writers' way of dealing with that was to have Abbott acknowledge that the search issue was for the attorneys to resolve.  The most important thing was that there was no more evidence to use against his wife.  

In the end, we know that there's still more to be worked out between Jane and Lisbon and that trouble is brewing.  Jane is still scared of loving Lisbon and although she's admitted that she loves him, she's afraid of losing her own identity and being left alone.  Truly, they're both afraid of losing the other but for completely different reasons.

Kinetic Performance, LLC is pleased to introduce a brand new copper monolithic bullet for the 2016 hunting season. Since I began making bullets about two years ago hunters have either hinted or directly asked for a copper bullet for hunting. Having invested in swaging equipment the only option would have been to use sintered copper. Having some knowledge of sintered bullets I decided they would be too frangible and would likely fail to meet the intent of a tougher hunting bullet that would not be as violent as a traditional cup and core. There was no real way to go about a solid copper bullet without a lathe.

Swiss lathes are the golden standard for turning bullets and I don’t have one in the garage so I had to find a capable and willing partner. I submitted design concepts to several companies before ever putting a test run of bullets together. One company said they would be happy to support my project but never responded beyond initial contact. Another couldn’t keep any information straight, were not timely, and were way too expensive. The third had a brilliant and enthusiastic engineer who fulfilled every promise he made and turned out a great product at a reasonable cost. Enter Peregrine.

The M-BOMB should be posted in the web-store by mid August since we just wrapped up enough testing to say we are willing to put them into production. There will be several versions:

1. .458″/300gn Flat-Base

2. .458″/300gn Boat-Tail

3. .452″/300gn Flat-Base

4. .452/300gn Boat-Tail

One of the neat options too with this bullet is it can be turned as  a solid with no tip. I tested some made this way and they shoot just like the tipped version. The benefit is they cost less but act identically so you have a viable and more economical practice bullet. I won’t have any of these up front but will put a poll up on a couple of forums and Facebook to gauge interest.
