What if coppers oxidized would anything specific happen?
There would be green splotches on their bodies but other than that they function fine, but the high class gems donβt like them roaming around miscolored. They weekly have their gems polished with a green substance that the flask robonoids have to prevent oxidation.

If your so-called "contagious" gems (copper, mercury, etc.) cannot merge with other gems, can they merge with each other? For example: copper + copper or mercury + mercury?
Yes they can, it wonβt impact them
Why is a fusion of copper and azurite impossible?
Copper is toxic, fusion with other gems would result their partner to get βsickβ. This applies to other toxic gems cuprite, cinnabar, Mercury, etc.
