Monthly barrel/nib cleaning and refilling. I can't believe I get them so dirty sometimes!
I need a Copic ink refill from the store but it’s far away and I have to call and check if they have them and I REALLY don’t want to talk to the person on the phone.
Going to talk about this if anyone cares...
But if there is one thing I have yet to truely understand about Copic markers and retail is the plain and simple fact that I have yet to find a store that will sell copic ink refills in-store rather than having to get it online like everyone else seems to. And no, please do not say Blick because a) I am not in walking distance of one, and b) never been in one to be sure of it, though I would like to go into one just once.
This is because I am running out of ink in one of my beloved blue copics that I use primarily for commissions coughcoughNa'viperfectblueshadecoughcough and for blue undershadings in particular art coughcoughKorraPrinceAikkaand Neytiricoughcough, so it's getting to the point where I'm like "dude, I seriously need to get some ink stat!"
Luckily for me, I think I know where I am definately going to get my ink refills. Carpe Diem usually has the best prices on Copics and they have a special if you buy $50 worth of sketch markers you will get the order with free shipping (big deal for me since I have to pay extra for taxes), and it's the only place where I can get the stuff I'll need for refilling. I plan on getting three refills, one being the blue I need at the moment and the other two, well I'm deciding whether it's this other blue or a brown or a green or some other color I use a lot. But I'm definately getting at least three this time. It's a given.
But for those who have had access to a Blick or other art supply stores outside of an Aaron Brothers or Graphaids, do you know of any store that carries ink refills? Or is it primarily an online thing? I'm asking because of reasons.
