Not sure what your summer job looked like when you were a kid, this was mine, in the basement of my Dads store being forced to listen to Paul Harvey on am radio. . . I remember the summer when Barry Manilow released “#Copacana” (thanks am radio dj’s) - I remember cashing my paycheck to buy movie tickets to take a girl I liked to see Purple Rain - and I remember my parents telling me (that same Summer I think) I could NOT go and see this new band I really liked called the Talking Heads in Syracuse. “It’s too far and too dangerous...” the tickets were $15 each and I had already bought them. . . I was paid a few bucks an hour until I was 15 and then my Dad gave me a $1 raise and I was grateful for it. . .
