Aside from one instance in Link's Awakening of a potential response being "fine" instead of just "yes," The Wind Waker is the first game where Link's personality shines through in his dialogue. Hell, a lot of his personality in OoT and MM is subtextual anyway, so WW is the first where his personality shines at all. I love Wind and I love how silly of a kid he is. I really need to hone in on this more in how I write him in my fanfics. But yeah. "A night-creeping rascal!" Amazing.
