This is me in front of a sculpture i did for the Cool Globes Exhibit. I did it back in May (2021) and it took about 4 weeks start to finish.

Announcing the winners of JBWC’s 2016  Main Street Scavenger Hunt Writing Adventure: Hannah & Sage

Congrats to Hannah and Sage on winning the JBWC Scavenger Hunt! Below is one example of the stellar writing they produced on the journey. This piece is inspired by the artwork pictured above (photo credit: Sage) which is part of the “Cool Globes” project and can be found at Canalside. Here’s the challenge they were responding to: “Find an interesting piece of graffiti or street art. Write a short poem or narrative based on it.”

The world is

transformed into

a series of rushed

paint strokes no

one can decipher.

America is oozing red

and the white in

our sky isn’t

white anymore.

Instead we

are leaking lead

and blue coolant

into the grooves

on our shoes.
