This Game Day Sausage Queso is a tasty appetizer that will go over well at parties or get-togethers. It's hard to say no to when you mix creamy cheese, spicy sausage, and tasty seasonings. There's no need to worry about making it because you can leave it to cook while you watch the game.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground sausage. 1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained. 1 8 oz package cream cheese, cubed. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. 1 teaspoon chili powder. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Tortilla chips, for serving.
Instructions: Cook the ground sausage in a pan over medium-low heat until it turns brown and is fully cooked. Remove any extra grease. Put the sausage in a slow cooker after it's done cooking. For the slow cooker, put the sausage in first. Then add the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, and garlic powder. Cover and cook on low for one to two hours, stirring every now and then, until the cheese melts and the mixture is warm all the way through. When it's done, serve it hot with tortilla chips to dip it in.
