 関西で生まれた在日コリアンのわたしは 10代まで済州島で暮らしたハンマ（おばあ）や日本で生まれ育った母の あったかい手から生み出される韓国や日本の家庭料理を食べて育ちました。 どちらがどちらか分からなくとも、おうちごはんは素朴で、 細胞のひとつひとつに沁み渡り、あたたかなエネルギーが満ちあふれました。 今済州島で暮らしながら行ったり来たりするわたしは やっぱりそこで採れる食材で、どこの国の料理なのか境界がなく 名もない料理を日々作りつづけています。 自分の手でごはんを作って食べることが、踊るためにも何より大切だと信じて疑わないのです。
