Best Man
Well. This was it. Roman sat in the master bedroom at Avery Manor. Octavia really had organised an entire wedding, and overseen the renovations of the Manor in a scarily short time. Of course the Manor wasn’t completely finished, there was a lot unfinished, but the rooms that needed to be used today were done, like the master bedroom for Roman and Wade to get ready in, and the ballroom, and the courtyard. It was impressive that she’d managed to facilitate all of that.Â
Now it was his wedding day, something he’d looked forward to in the past, but had not pictured his current bride in the situation. He was going through with it, that wasn’t the issue, but he couldn’t help thinking about the fact he might have been happier if he’d managed to convince Pansy, or if it was still an agreement but not with Octavia. Though Octavia- after the engagement dinner. That kiss, how much of that was just a build up of sexual frustration and how much was genuine curiosity towards the girl. Roman fell back from his sitting position on the end of the bed and looked up to the ceiling and let out a groan.
