“Ugh,” Brooke let out an annoyed sigh as she came to a halt in front of the other. “Just get this over quickly. What do you want,” she asked lowly, not even looking in the other’s direction. Anything to avoid having to make eye contact. Instead, she kept her eyes trained on the milling crowd in front of her. In anticipation of this very conversation, Brooke had been trying to avoid the other.
