A useful piece of equipment for flexible conveying is the big conveyor chain. The conveyor chain may sprocket ride up or detach due to wear elongation. The chain's wear life can be increased by lubrication. Pitch, roller diameter, and inner link inner width are the three fundamental dimensions of a conveyor chain. The chain and sprocket are compatible when their dimension’s match.

Three standard roller types are used in Tsubaki conveyor chains.

1.     R Rollers: Tsubaki's most basic form of roller. It has a high permissible load and less resistance to friction. Its outer diameter is greater than the link plate's height.

2.     Flange rollers: These are used to prevent side oscillation. Ideal for rough usage. The roller has a flange attached to the T pin side that serves as a guide.

3.     S, M, and N rollers: These rollers effectively reduce the shock and wear that the chain would normally experience during sprocket engagement.
