so everyone has gone to bed so I’m just going to actively talk about Infected Mushroom’s latest LP, Converting Vegetarians 2.
Those of you who dont know them already, Infected Mushroom are an Israeli trance and electronica group (I guess, genre is messy) who dabble in all things from Dubstep to drum and base to borderline metal when they really want to.
This album is god damned delicious. It is so so many things, it weaves a stunning soundscape, not so much a story but an atmosphere, it is intensely lonely yet entirely there with you, it is so driven yet so delicately ponderous. And from the first selection of infected mushroom typical weird sounds to it’s outlandish name, to the lyrics of She Zoremet (Israeli, not vegetarian. Israeli, kidnapped by aliens.) This album is absurd. But it keeps me company, I’m really honestly in love with this album and whilst it is ludicrous I cannot recommend it highly enough, nor can I stop listening to it.
