His back was to the door, but he still knew who it was who had just walked through into his office without seeing her. Her shoes always seemed to make the same noise on his hardwood flooring and even besides that, she wore the same perfume whenever he saw her. It would have been hard for him to be ignorant to the fact it was her.
“You know, when I signed the deal with your father, I was hardly expecting to see you so much.” Thomas turned, a smile on his face. “How can I help you out today, darling?”
