I also love the idea of interacting with Barret! There’s potential there from the Domino/AVALANCHE side of things, and the side of things that muses that perhaps Marlene met Rita while under Reeve’s supervision during game events.

      just kidding. i adore you. you’re lovely, i’m happy we did find each other, and i’m happy we clicked through both rufus and reeve ... and out of character, too. you’re certainly one of my most precious friends that i’ve gotten to know in the fandom and i’m so appreciative of your kind words, your talent in all forms, and your memery.

THIS ONE MAY BE LONGER THAN AN AVERAGE ANSWER SO GRAB A DRINK AND HERE WE GO. I’ll break it down below. 

Mind you -- if there are ships I like and you don’t, or ships you like and I don’t, this isn’t a means to attack any person’s preferences; this is just my own opinion with my Tifa muse. You’re all entitled to your opinions and preferences! Please respect.

Ships I’d love to explore:

There are so, so many. Many are crossover, honestly. I have a brief list below. I copied this from an earlier post I made like...a year ago when I was last asked this. xD

FF: Cloud Strife (ALL THE CLOTI PLS ;.;), Aerith, Rude (I’ve always enjoyed this pairing and would love to explore it again), [thanks to the remake I also really wanna explore a ship with Biggs and Leslie), Squall/Leon, Lightning, Prompto, Ignis, Gladio, Thancred and a handful of folks from FFXIV;

Anime/Game characters in general: Vegeta (DBZ), Trunks (DBZ) , Goku (DBZ) , Axel/Lea (KH), Riku (KH), Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia), Dante (Devil May Cry), Bayonetta, Akira/Joker (Persona 5), Alucard/Adrian (Castlevania), Haku (Spirited Away), Howl (Howl’s Moving Castle), Zuko (Avatar last Airbender – had a really awesome ship with this once and would love to have it again)

Marvel: Bruce Banner/Hulk,Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Starlord, Valkyrie, Thor, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow

Misc: Sherlock Holmes (because imagine it), R (Warm Bodies – had an amazing ship with @theimpalpable a million years ago and it was pure love), Selene (Underworld), or basically any vampire character, Geralt (The Witcher Series)

ALSO KYLO REN BECAUSE I AM WEAK!!!

…And don’t get me started on Disney characters. We’d be here all day.

I just have a lot of love for so many characters that I could see Tifa having chemistry with.

Ships I’ve got a hard no on:

- Barret x Tifa

((I love Barret and Tifa’s dynamic as friends and family. I just can’t see it as canon that they have romantic feelings for each other; she’s likely around 16-17 when she meets him the first time and he’s a) much older and b) not portrayed as someone looking for a romantic relationship. The remake really shows their closeness as friends and comrades, and I really enjoy that. He’s a protector, not a love interest, so I have no interest in having a romantic ship with a Barret.))
