In this project we are going to present an automatic chickpeas derivative making control for Garby S.A, company that is focused in the making of vegan products made of chickpeas under three types of foods: hummus, cookies and sandwich cookies with hummus filling.
The present status of the factory cannot satisfy the demand due to the poor workforce and manual labor predominance, so the main reason to automate all processes is aimed to increase production rates and uniformity of the finished products, that finally leads to an overall growth in quality and competitiveness of the company. In order to achieve this, we are going to use different types of sensor such as: flow, presence, pressure, temperature and weight, and actuators like pumps, valves, engines and resistors. All of them connected to a programable logic controller for each sub process, which controls and supervises all activities.
