A control chip AU would be super interesting. Especially as it would all come down to Miranda in the end - she might like Shepard enough to remove it, or she might stand by it, hand over control to the Illusive Man and watch him maker her dance like a puppet.Â
Can you imagine ME3 where Shepard is under Cerberus’ control? Fighting it. Hating it. But unable to control herself because of this chip.
