Happy valentine's day to these two leaves only
"Is this good?" Leafy asks, holding the knife entirely wrong. Evie sighs.
"Of course not," she responds. "You have to hold it like this." She grabs Leafy's hand and adjusts it slightly. Leafy's heart flutters when Evie holds her hand with both of hers. Her longer claws graze the back of her hand. Her claws. Her claws.
"Right. Sorry." Leafy says. Evie shushes her.
"No more apologizing," she insists. "There, that should be better." She pulls her hands away, revealing to Leafy that she is now holding the knife perfectly and properly. Leafy smiles.
"It's much more comfortable this way," she remarks. Evie nods.
"I know. They're supposed to be. Now throw it. Any direction, I'll get it for you."
Leafy tosses it pathetically in front of her.
"Stronger than that, idiot."
"Sorry."
"No more apologizing. Just do what I say."
"Right. So- um- of course."
Leafy throws it again, further and with better aim. It lands right in the trunk of a tree. Evie smiles. A tiny, miniscule smirk, but Leafy picks up on it. She always does.
"Good job," she says. Once she's returned with the knife, she puts it in Leafy's hand once more and stands directly in front of it.
"Now, you learn how to stab."
