Who are you and why are you posting the Graham Coxon Allegations?
I see people constantly making this mention of oh the allegations fans are just these crazy fans, you know, some axe to grind because Graham didn't message them back, etc.
Everyone who put the master list together is a grown adult. None of us have had, at any point, contact with Graham nor wished for it.
Okay but why do you care so much?
All of us were fans for a long time (10+ years) and had witnessed multiple fandom cycles/periods online of graham interacting with fans both as a young person, and as an adult. Because of this perspective, it became clear that the behavior we had seen as teens was toxic and harmful to young fans/fans in general.
Why post it on tumblr?
For one, I had/have a platform from writing Blur fic for 10ish years. So if there was somewhere to post all of the information about allegations we had, this acct was the most visible platform. It also hopefully shows that I'm not just some random who popped out of nowhere to accuse someone, but someone who has been a part of the fandom for almost two decades on and off. Tumblr also makes it easier to spread the word through reblogs or linking to the master post from Twitter, etc.
What are you trying to achieve by posting the masterpost allegations?
Transparency. Visibility that this is very common with the younger fans and him. That is is something to watch out for if someone sneaks into your dms. We as adults in fandom all have a responsibility to look out for young fans who are too parasocial and will get into these situations only to cause themselves long term hurt/trauma/be used.
And that's it. Not trying to cancel. Not trying to get clout or "win" something. Just to put the information out there of the brave folks who were willing to share their traumatic experiences in the hopes it would save another fan.
