Stanislavski’s principles of directing and his collective theories acting were very influential in the late nineteenth century and are still used by actors and directors today.
The Stanislavski method or system in a set of techniques used by actors to portray emotions on stage by putting themselves in the place of the character.
Stanislavski developed the technique on the early 1900s and they have been used ever since to help actors create believable emotions and actions in the characters they portray.
Stanislavsky method acting is basically in seven steps, these techniques were developed to help actors to build believable characters.

Constantin Stanislavski
Born in Moscow, Russia in January 1863, Constantin Stanislavski was a Russian stage actor and director who developed the naturalistic performance technique known as the “Stanislavski method” or method acting.
Stanislavski started working in theater as a teen, going on to become an acclaimed actor and director of stage productions. He co-founded the Moscow Art Theater in 1897 and developed a performance process known as method acting, allowing actors to use their personal histories to express authentic emotion and create rich characters.
He died in Moscow, Russia in 1938.
