My daughter Alyssah decided it would be fun if we had a new console. She bought us a new Switch. We have a couple of games for it. This one is my favorite. It's Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. Currently I'm on Chapter 5 in winter, year one. It's the chapter after you complete the game and the credits roll. The only thing that peeves me about it is the whole "you can't be happy without getting married and having a family. you'll know it's time when you receive the blue feather." I can't say I'm surprised. All Harvest Moon games lean this way from that very first NES version. I can say I kept that blue feather in my toolbox in previous versions and intend on storing it in this one as well. It prevents me from getting stupid fingers and accidentally causing something unfortunate to occur. I never understood the whole "you have to get married and have a child" thing. There's plenty to do in game without the excess real life baggage and personally I was just happy to befriend the cat. :)
