Today, quarantine finally go the best of me! And I really don’t want your sympathy and pity, I just want you pass that on to all of the teachers and educators that you know! I have been a Girl Scout leader for two years and I LOVE IT! We meet virtually every 2 weeks for a hour AND TONIGHT I got a true sense of what the education system has been dealing with for the last year! Mind you, I only had 10 girls K-2 on a Zoom! It was pure chaos! There was an actual mutiny for me turn the annotate button back on! I wanted to feel sorry for myself and get upset and quit but 1. That’s really not me and 2. It was just a hour. I can only imagine what middle and high school teachers are dealing with if elementary aged kids have the smarts to turn their screens off to throw a temper tantrum. I do this once, every two weeks. Educators do it everyday. So before you complain about a snow day because their virtual or the teachers are working less blah blah blah, I invite you to host a zoom for 30 minutes with 5 tech savvy kids and see how it goes!!!
