TECHNOLOGY: My Dad has been in for over 7 years and it never dawned on me that he's so behind in technology that I never realized he's never experienced FaceTime. Doesn't know about social media and what it does, a notes section on the phone was too slow, BC he ddnt have a touch screen or able to see a keyboard. For us technology changes everyday, a new feature a new gadget a new world! This put a lot into perspective. How we live 'freely' on a day to day basis, always using something, always making a way to communicate faster. To the point we lack human interaction. Everything is so microwaved we forget how precious the little things are or the beauty of time and nature. Most of us get to a point where we feel we have to digress to solitude to refresh and restart the soul without social media, which essentially a live stream of your life. Just to be a 'normal human' again. How funny is it that he is removed from the beauty of 'freedom', treated inhumanly, and outcasted from society, yet still can appreciate the smallest form of communication...a LETTER! how dare I not have the time to write or to print pictures?! How dare I not have the time to visit someone face to face?! When I have all the time in the world since I can literally do things in seconds due to our privileges of technology. This made me aware of my laziness, my expectancies for life, my cluttered mind, my idea of success, my unfulfilled soul due to such advancements. How have I not stopped and taken time for what life is really about. there's FAMILY, LOVE, NATURE, FOOD that makes things worth living for, not MONEY or technology! We are actually the dehumanized, removed from society, and not free people. But oh how that is ironic!! No matter someones status, education level, or skin color, you can always learn from them. Gain a perspective you were once ignorant to. Thank you daddy for sharing your unconscious wisdom. How have you mastered teaching me even when you're learning something from me... Or so I think lol. πΈ:@calligrafistphotography #ConsciousChrys #daddysGirlChronicles (at La Marina NYC)
