A tufted perennial with leaves up to 20cm long, endemic to the SW of Australia, where it grows in gravel, clayey loam, and sand.

A clumping perennial growing from underground rhizomes, endemic to the SW corner of Australia like all others in the genus. This is one of ten subspecies of aculeata, some of which are grown as ornamentals.
Insect-pollinated - some of which don't wait for the flower to open properly.

"Very Small Conostylis", and indeed it is, although otherwise similar to C. setigera. Both are bristly.
Another SW endemic, growing in sandy loam, clay or sand in woodland and mallee heath.

Despite the common name, the flowers can also be pinkish maroon to purple.
A grass-like herb in the Bloodroot family Haemodoraceae, endemic to the Darling Escarpment from Bindoon north of Perth, south to Waroona. It grows in laterite and gravel.
