Tonight’s Mood
The Guardians get hired for a mission on an ice planet, with Peter and Thor being assigned on a stakeout for recon. The two of them are still a little unsure of each other, so they initially keep their distance. Peter just can’t seem to get warm and keeps shivering, thought this doesn’t keep him from trading quips and barbs with Thor through chattering teeth.
Which makes it all the more surprising when Thor pulls off his cape and places it around Peter’s shoulders without a word. Peter’s speechless for a moment, but eventually mumbles his thanks, trying to hide his blush at Thor’s answering smile. The two of them resume their watch, neither of them choosing to comment on how they’re huddled a little closer together than before.

A conversation that defined a hero <3
Thinking about Thor getting a little talking to from the rest of the team once it becomes clear that he and Steve are dating. Not a shovel talk, per se (though Natasha does choose to say her piece while practising her knife throwing...), just a gentle reminder that Steve's from a different time and that Thor shouldn't be put out if he needs time to work up to intimacy or public displays of affection with another man. Just be prepared to be gentle and patient with the guy if he needs it, they tell him. He'll be ready when he's ready.
And with every one of these chats, Thor's trying not to piss himself laughing because he doesn't have the heart to tell them that Steve would climb him like a tree on an hourly basis if he had his way and regularly has to be talked down from risking a public act of indecency charge or scandalising their friends around the tower.
Bonus points if Bucky gives Thor a once over the first time they meet and reads Steve for filth like "yeah, you look like the type to keep up with that horndog."

Y'know what's always fun? Accidental stevethor proposals and betrothals.
The team's on Asgard, celebrating victory after helping to stop an invasion by the frost giants or something. Spirits are high, and Steve's definitely feeling lighter than usual with a few swigs of Asgardian liquor in him. Maybe he does some small, mundane thing like giving a little gift or a toast to Thor, and the next thing he knows, whispers and gasps are running through the watching crowd as Thor stares at him, wide-eyed and pink-cheeked.
Turns out, Steve's just unknowingly performed some ancient Asgardian courting rite, essentially announcing at the top of his lungs that he's proposing marriage to Asgard's crown prince. Oopsy :))))
Steve begs Thor to fuck him and come in him again and again whenever he returns from Asgard. He's been on his own for so long and he just wants to be reminded that the man he loves really is here with him, over him and under him and inside him. Thor, of course, is all too happy to give Steve what he needs and remind him who he belongs to. To live in this fleeting moment of mortality and stamp it on his heart, reminding himself how blessed he is to have Steve's open arms to return to time and again.
