josiah had a habit of avoiding that conversation at all costs because he knew what came with babies, having watched most of his close friends take on the responsibility. even his brother. the sleepless nights, the money, the toll it often took on relationships. but then he saw her. her eyes lighting up in interaction with the baby, the warmth that practically spilled from her and that smile. he had fell in love with her smile many moons ago but this one was softer, different from the one she usually wore. the corners of his own lips pulled upward watching the little one wrap his hand around her finger without a second thought. "i am a bit jealous," he admitted his voice threaded in amusement. "you went from trying to rizz up my woman with them gums to now touching her." josiah joshed, scrunching up his face at his nephew trying to provoke another eruption of baby joy. a grin spread along his lips as the attempt was successful, glancing over in her direction. "it's the genetics - the charisma just.. runs in our blood." he nodded exhaling a quieter laugh, his gaze lingering on her a bit longer than necessary. "i can see those wheels turning in your head already."
