7, 4, and 3 for the (Techno's) ask game; feel free to exclude one or two if you don't feel like answering them all :^)
i love talking about myself anon dont worry. someone could ask me to answer all and id do it happily there is no such thing as too much talking to me
3 : How many blogs do you have? Are any of them βnormalβ blogs?
man i dont even know honestly. on this one i have four, this one, my art blog and two i dont post on just for grabbing the urls. but then i also have my 2025 back up blogs under various emails which are four total? i think? maybe more who knows. but theyre all congleton related, i dont use tumblr for normie stuff nowadays. if i post in normie spaces its just to get clout for my art in the hopes i can make money off of it. i see no point in engaging with non pro map people online otherwise. and because itd be funny as fuck if i got cancelled lowk lmao
4 : Whatβs your biggest hot take in the community? (Can be lighthearted or more serious)
i have a few takes that'd probably get me flamed, mainly relating to contact discourse. but ive had a take on transrace ids rummaging around in my head for a while so for some diversity, i will share that one. not a hot take really but its something i rarely see talked about.
namely i dont think transrace is a good term. in fact in my opinion (i am white so bear that in mind) it has some racist undertones. back in school in my country, we were explained the concept of racism as believing different races of humans were a thing at all. that is the very basis of racism how i was taught it. and it makes sense because humans do not have races like dogs or other animals- there are no large differences between one ethnicity and another in humans like there are in animals. hell in my native language calling someone a different race is even a slur. you'll get treated as a racist if you talk like that here.
so the fact people call it transrace instead of simply transethnicity and argue soo much about whether races can be transitioned to has always confused me. because humans have no races. it confuses me even more that antis take such issues with saying race isnt real. that's what you should believe if you're anti racism. race was invented by racism. it's a system based on arbitrary rules only designed to other and dehumanise a big section of humans.
not a take i ever really posted because its semantics and i dont have a solution for the issue. we could come up with a new term sure. but it is very hard to get any to catch on. and really its more just a cultural difference that perplexes me than me actually taking a stance on anything. always has been odd to me how its not widely agreed that using race to refer to ethinicities has racist undertones... but eh how it goes in the us i guess
7 : What inspires you to post on your blog? Is it a person, the general community, or something else?
real talk. its mainly just the fact i need to have some outlet to talk about my mapness. otherwise i get the worst apathy from masking all day irl. unfortunately i am afflicted by the curse of having bad urges relating to my mapness. and being able to talk about it somewhere helps. a tiny bit at least
beyond that it is also because i would eventually like to get into making friends online again... i used to have a few rq friends and a rq partner who used to call with all the time and that was extremely fun. even if the relationships itself were very messy. so eventually the plan is ill try getting to the point i can do that again... but i keep pushing it off cause meeting new people online isn't my strong suit. also im hyper paranoid. but eventually ill talk to people on discord again... eventually ok....
