âwe did- several timesâ, is what jim would like to say. but this is all new territory. heâd allowed his own open dissatisfaction to grow (and oh how it had grown), but... making the very purposeful to move to destroy âthemâ was new. on uneven ground because of his own actions, he chooses to stay quiet, watching john move about his study (entirely his space, though not for much longer-), with a practiced ease.
thatâs not what he wants to see. but heâs unable to push the glass to crack without being seen through (because john would see; call him on throwing a tantrum because he isnât getting what he wants), and oh, how that has him.
â   look at me.   â   now, they both know itâs an act. john thinks itâs an act now, heâs sure- jimâs only half-sure anymore, but he doesnât let that stop him.   â   do you hate me?   â   jim presses where heâs allowed to press and still look innocent. is he pressing buttons because heâs curious what will work or because... ?
