If you’re looking to see some art this Sunday with an extra hour of time, check out the exhibit “Confluence/Influence: Mingei in Contemporary Abstraction” at Dorsky Gallery in Long Island City. At 3pm, some of the exhibiting artists will be on a panel discussing the hand-crafted process and what making work by hand means to them. The panel includes Odili Donald Odita, whose laminated glass panels “Kaleidoscope” (2012) bring vibrant color to the 20th Ave Station in Brooklyn.
