okay, i can see i made a lot of people angry with 1783 - sorry i worded it rlly poorly. no, i don't think the way she looks is bad on its own. i just rlly resent the way shows never cast women with face and nose shapes like majel barret has anymore, except maybe when the woman is old. it's like women with bigger noses and stronger jaws aren't allowed to be love interests, and i think it's gross. no, i don't judge real women for how they look or dress, and i don't resent snw chapel's actor or how she looks on its own, i just resent how casting is afraid of certain face shapes now and i would rather she be not chapel, because she doesn't look like tos chapel. it literally just feels like snw casters decided tos chapel looked too <manly> or smthing.
and for the record, i've said the same things about ethan peck but while male casting has alot of the same problems it does for women, it's worse for women bc misogyny means that beauty standards for women are held to far more strictly and face shapes that aren't <in style> are always sidelined or even mocked.
(tho i will say i shouldn't have said 'sex kitten', i was rlly tired and couldn't remember the name of the make up style snw chapel's often got, but while that is a make up style i think it also sounds rlly bad)
