Mukokya tolerated the anesthesia without any problem, but as is always the case, the veterinarians were well-prepared and equipped to handle potential complications."

The Howard G. Buffett Foundation Chair on Conflict & Development at Texas A&M is proud to announce the winning academic units of the scholarships offered at Alex Dehgan's ConDev Lecture on May 2, 2013.

The Department of Agricultural Economics, Department of Horticultural Sciences, Bush School of Government and Public Service, and the Department of Economics at Texas A&M have each received scholarships to be awarded competitively for student research and other activities related to conflict and development.

The ConDev Lecture scholarships were awarded to the academic units with the highest attendance at the presentation by Dr. Alex Dehgan who is the Science and Technology Adviser to the Administrator and the Head of the Office of Science and Technology at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Thanks to Dr. Dehgan for visiting Texas A&M and for a wonderful presentation. A very special thanks to all students, faculty, and staff who attended the presentation and encouraged others to be present.
