post 1: concept unification is such an unintentionally artistic and horrifying thing. from the mood of the installation tape, like it knows it's telling you to kill the childhood of hundreds of people, down to the cadence of the rolfe and earl showtapes playing as it was happening, rolfe speaking like he's hiding the death of a loved one from a child because he's not ready to explain the fragility of life yet. earl sounding genuinely angry and terrified as he realized what's happening while the curtains were closing on him for the last time. billy bob, as the mascot, not even being replaced but told to be destroyed and used for parts. rolfe always wanting to make it big and being replaced by chuck, the main star of the cec brand, like a monkey's paw in action. on top of that, arguably, the rockafire's death was unavoidable as without cei's showtapes it would just be like puppeteering a corpse, all the life and authenticity of their interactions gone... it's both tragic and beautiful in a way
