nah ok actually andy weir stays pissing me off because project hail mary was so good but he has to be so fucking stupid abt sci-fi and media like. do you think you are exempt from the experience of living in a society? every thought you have is shaped by the way you were raised by your culture to think. all entertainment is political. every main character you write is the same base layer white guy who’s “smart but not smart enough to ascend past everyman status” and you think that idea has no basis in any lived experience in your life? you think that’s a character lauded by society for no reason at all??? not like that’s viewed as the default setting for life by america at large and has been since our founding?????? you think star trek is about romulans and the federation shooting at each other???????????????
