Arianna Cady

(Trainer, She/her) Arianna is a 16-year-old trainer who's finishing her mission, the mission to complete challenges and have a battle with her twin sister who's the champion to keep her father's research and her pokemon safe and away from prying hands. She is reserved, somewhat cold towards people, but she isn't like that to pokemon. Dislike humans because of their actions and her experiences with them in the past, but she likes pokemon because at least they have good and reasonable choices and reasons. She trains her pokemon not for battle but to prepare to defend themselves if she isn't there to protect them.

Sampaguita

(Cinderace, he/him) The eldest and leader of Wildcard Squad, but he's more of a big brother than a leader. He is normally quiet, very observant, and protective even. His intimidating presence surprises other trainers as they didn't expect a cinderace to act so cold and scary to them, especially cinderace trainers. He is a beast in battle. He will not hesitate or hold back unless told to stop. He likes to mess with his opponents before hitting them with a Pyro Ball. Although, despite this, he still has those common cinderace traits, and he is kind and chill if you are not a danger to him or his family.

Garcinia

(Tsareena, she/her) The 2nd eldest of the Wildcard Squad. A kind and sweet tsareena who acts like her family is above everyone else she deems threatening to them. She isn't bothered by anything, and if it's a small prank, she will probably play along unless it's a threat. Hates anything that will ruin her hair or her little crown. Like Sam, she is a menace in battle. She just LOVES to mess with her opponents before giving them a serious kick on the stomach or face.

Lantana

(Sylveon, she/her) This is the cheerful eeveelution of the Wildcard Squad, the 3rd eldest. She likes wrapping her ribbons to her loved ones because sometimes they get lost along the way, even herself! But her ribbons have other purposes. In battle, she will wrap her opponents using her ribbons and just use whatever ability her mama tells her to use. Despite her sunshine character, she will not hesitate to hurt or maybe kill anything that tries to threaten her family.

Tacca

(Noivern, he/him) The 1st youngest and the trickster of the Wildcard Squad. He loves to mess with his siblings, making them chase him around while he giggles. It's his job to keep them annoyed. Yet this noivern is sometimes scary to other pokemon, not because of his size but because of what he can do in battle. He makes a lot of sound waves on purpose before quickly using any offensive abilities, using his pranking tactics. He can easily hold a huge grudge against anyone who dares hurt his family.

Comosa

(Golisopod, she/her) 2nd youngest and the sweetest bodyguard of the Wildcard Squad. This golisopod may look like a monster, but she is peaceful, cheery, and kind to anyone who's kind to her and her family. She is also responsible for listening to unreasonable arguments. She doesn't fix them but ends them. She wants everyone to get along outside of battle. Despite this, she is also a beast in battle, like Sam. She loves to throw her opponents off guard before giving them a painful punch or power to their faces.

Wisteria

(Hatterene, she/her) The youngest and healer of the Wildcard Squad. She is very reserved and quiet but nice when necessary. She just doesn't socialize that much like Sampaguita. Though she loves to feel included in activities that she's thrown into, she loves feeling that fun energy with her loved ones. Though, she likes to appear threatening to anything that deems dangerous and to her opponents. She can be a bit of an annoyance as she puts out Magic Powder on her opponents before they get slapped and crashed on a wall.

Okay this might be a long post but here's how they met Arianna!

Short answer: Aside from Sam, who hatched and imprinted on Ari as his mama. The others were saved and healed by Ari instead of her catching them. They didn't trust her because she looked intimidating and scary, but they've grown attached. They were given a choice to go back to the wild, yet they chose to stay. An option that Arianna didn't say.

(Mention of death and getting injured)

Long answer:

Sampaguita met Arianna when he was still in the egg! After hatching and nearly dying from said hatching, Arianna was looking after him. She decided to stay in the pokemon center to keep an eye on him, feed him, figure out why he ended up like he's in pain. The small scorbunny saw her (though Ari couldn't see his eyes opening bc they're small) and immediately (like what babies or baby animals do) sees her as his mama.

Then, Garcinia met her in the woods while her leaf (that was used for flying) was injured. Got herself attacked by other pokemon who wanted to eat her. She didn't trust Ari one bit bc of how intimidating the girl looks. Though later, Ari healed the bounsweet's leaf, even fed her food that is necessary for a bounsweet. Nia saw how kind and patient this girl is and grew attached (after all, she acts like a baby pokemon from what Ari noticed). Ari lets the bounsweet go because she has no intention of catching it (she doesn't want to take advantage of injured pokemon). But Nia didn't leave right away and instead stayed with Ari.

Lantana, before evolving into a sylveon, she was an eevee. An eevee that was chased down by hunters. In a world full of kindness and peace, there's always pain and death. That's what this poor eevee sees. Then, she was saved by Ari and her other two pokemon. Like Garcinia, she didn't trust Ari and gave her a painful scratch on the wrist. Yet Ari still helps the eevee despite that action, healing its injuries and feeding her with patience and gentleness. Afterward, Ari released it to the wild. This time, the eevee did leave to stay in the wild but changed its mind and stayed with Ari.

For Tacca. He didn't get injured badly but got a little scratched when he first met Ari and couldn't fly because of it. He didn't trust her when she approached him. So he bit her wrist, bit her HARD till it bled. But Ari remained still and instead comforted him, just patting his head while trying to rip her hand off until he just stopped. Afterward, he was fed and got bandaged up by Ari. As expected, the noibat left. He didn't leave because he was scared of her, he left because it was his choice. But he came back when Ari and her group were getting attacked.

Comosa was a wimpod who was nearly close to death. Arianna found her on the ground with the rest of the now dead wimpods that were covered in dark-purple goo. The certain wimpod was slightly covered in said goo. Luckily, the wimpod was saved, healed, and well fed, didnt trust her for a bit but later did because of how kind she was. With nowhere to go, instead of going back, she stayed with Arianna.

Wisteria dislikes humans. She was a hatenna who was abandoned by its trainer for being difficult and hard to train. From that day, she will try to hurt any human that passes by that she thinks they're trying to hurt her or try to catch her. Arianna was a different case. She found the hatenna after getting a massive headache from it, getting the message she turned to the other way which left the hatenna confused (because usually the humans would run in fear or catch her, not turned to the other way with understandment and not catch her). Of course, the hatenna got curious about the girl and followed it. She saw how kind and encouraging she is to her pokemon team despite having a monotoned voice. Ari saw the hatenna, and instead of catching it right away, she just gave her food and began talking to her like a person. Not a baby talk kind of way, like as if she's talking to a human being. Ari even asked if the hatenna was hurt because there was a small scar on its head. Later, this certain hatenna still dislikes humans, but not this human here. She decided to stay with Ari. She felt like she could trust her.

There are some pokemon who actually did leave after getting healed by Arianna! Like I said, Arianna has no intention of catching pokemon for the sake of her mission. Despite how important this mission is, she still gave them one option: Leave.
