someone who can make me laugh, is open-minded, and is tolerant and understanding of my boundaries. common interests are also a bonus, but if we can hold an interesting conversation then i don't really mind what it's about. i like to mingle with lots of different people, but my close friendships only blossom with a great deal of effort on the part of the other person, since it takes me a while to really open up.
