It's been a while c:
I hope no one missed me
I went for a run the other day, which was nice. My body is still kind of sore, but I like running (or, run walking, as this is, considering we had to start the C25K stuff again, cause my body is not on its cardio game anymore, and it's been over a month since I last ran).
I also went to the lake like two weeks ago.
Here are the pictures from that day.
Breakfast c:
And finally attempting to take care of myself a little better.
In case you care:
1/2 cup of oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
a scoop of protein powder
3/4 cup soy milk
a hand full of berries to fill up the jar
Mix it all together and put into the fridge overnight.
I use the bonne maman jam jars, cause they fit very well c:
If you use vegan protein, you'll need to add more liquid.
intro:
~˚✧。name: Luca ~˚✧。nickname: you decide c: this is usually on a "my friends have nicknames for me" basis c: ~˚✧。pronouns: they/them & she/her ~˚✧。age: 22 at the moment c: ~˚✧。timezone: GMT + 1 (or UTC + 2 in the summer, basically the timezone of Amsterdam, Berlin, Oslo, Paris) ~˚✧。languages: English (fluent), German (fluent), French (can understand, talking is wonky), Norwegian (barely), Latvian (barely), Dutch (barely, but trying to learn) ~˚✧。interests: wayyyyyy too freaking many. I enjoy reading, learning new things, cooking, baking, moving my body (running, strength training, yoga, cycling, long walks, etc), making videos, drawing, learning languages, spending time with friends, playing table top games (I really need to find people to play with irl), and so much more. Sadly I don't do most of those things very regularly, due to depression c: But: We're trying to get better at that, and I'm kinda here to document that! For books I read fiction and non-fiction. I very much like fantasy and Sci-Fi (heck, I might just make a post about my favourite books, because I got some great ones I really enjoy). Recently I tend to reread the books I already know I love, so I've been reading "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir (still undecided if I should watch the movie, the book is so great, and I feel like there's no way the movie will live up to that). I also recently reread the Monk & Robot Duology by Becky Chambers ("A Psalm for the Wild-Built" and "A Prayer for the Crown-Shy"), which are always so comforting, and kind of always make me cry. With non-fiction I tend to reach books on psychology (and self-help) with a focus on trauma and neurodivergence. I sometimes enjoy playing videogames, so far the only one I've really loved is "What Remains of Edith Finch", so if you have recommendations, please let me know! ~˚✧。boundaries: sfw only, minors DNI, please don't be creepy ~˚✧。about me: hello there! I'm Luca, I am a neurodivergent person existing on the internet. I'm happy to have you, I hope you enjoy your stay! ~˚✧。extra: Feel free to reach out if you want to get to know me or would like to chat about anything! I really enjoy affection (hugs, head pats, cuddles) and long voice messages, so if we happen to be friends, please expect to get some long rambling voice messages. I can kind of talk for hours, if I feel safe around you.
tags I use:
#castle of reverie ~ personal tag #castleofreverie ~ personal tag #library-wing ~ books, reading, studying #midnight-kitchen ~ cooking, baking, recipes #common-room ~ daily life, tea, hobbies, resting #inner-sanctuary ~ being vulnerable, reflecting, healing #lantern-studio ~ arts and crafts, visual creativity, drawing #engine-room ~ coding, development #castle-grounds ~ outdoors, walks, runs, swimming, cycling, exploring the outside world #castle-gardens ~ plants, gardening #soundtrack ~ music As you can see, these are all based on the concept that this is kind of my personal inner world, and I'm inviting you into select spaces. I choose to use the tags in a way of organising these things. In the future, there will likely also be tags used for certain themes and things I focus on, on this journey we call life. If needed, I will update this list in the future.
find me elsewhere:
~˚✧。discord: @luca_castle_of_reverie ~˚✧。storygraph: @luca_castle_of_reverie ~˚✧。github: @Luca-CoR please keep in mind that I will only accept friend requests on discord if I know who you are, so shoot me a message here before reaching out over there, thank you!

Why Mentoring Teens Is So Important: Announcing the Freshman Fifteens-Wattpad Teen Writing Contest
“Kids today don’t know how to write.”
“Kids today think texting and tweeting is writing.”
“Kids today won’t have the patience for books tomorrow.”
Since becoming a Young Adult author, I’ve heard these exact phrases or variations on them in increasingly alarming frequency. This seems to be how most adults view teenagers today.
Are they right?
As a writer, and even more so as a reader, the idea…
