Weekly rebound lifts market from recent lows
Natural Latex recorded a stronger week and recovered part of the decline that emerged toward the end of May. The market advanced to Rs 243/kg on 1 June from Rs 232/kg a week earlier, delivering a weekly increase of Rs 11/kg. The move restored some confidence after a period of volatility and placed prices back above levels seen during the recent correction. Indian Natural Latex prices improved during the latest trading week but remained below the strongest levels reached earlier in the month.
A broader review shows prices were Rs 238/kg one month ago, representing a net gain of Rs 5/kg. During May, the market climbed to around Rs 257/kg before retreating and then stabilising. Compared with a fortnight ago, values remain lower by Rs 11/kg, illustrating the extent of the previous pullback. Longer-term comparisons remain significantly stronger, with the market rising from about Rs 114/kg three months ago and Rs 108/kg six months ago. The observed range across the available period extends from roughly Rs 104/kg to Rs 257/kg. Indian Natural Latex prices continue to trade comfortably above earlier-period levels despite the recent fluctuations. Natural Latex prices in India therefore retain a firmer long-term structure even after the late-May setback.
