#commodity whiskey

Inspired by one of my current favorite fragrances, this Perfume Playlist translates the complex and sultry notes of Commodity Good’s Whiskey into equally dark and mysterious tunes. 

Notes

TOP—bergamot, lemon, eucalyptus

MID—lavender, sage, ivy

BASE—amber, oak, cinnamon, black musk

Woodsy & Aromatic

If it seems like I’m obsessed with Commodity’s perfumes, it’s only because I am. Commodity’s Whiskey is usually marketed as a men’s fragrance, but scent is scent and gender is fake. All that aside, usually I’m not big on “masculine” fragrances because they can be so overwhelming. Usually this is because of the heavy base notes, such as musk. However, Whiskey is a good example of a well-balanced fragrance. Citrus top notes and floral mids give depth to the heavy base of musk and oak. 

This is the fragrance Don Draper would wear, my friends. This fragrance will make you feel like you’re a wealthy and mysterious patron at a Manhattan bar in the 1950s.
