So, lately every since 13 Reasons Why has came out people at my school have been cracking jokes about it. For instance, A guy at my school said , “ I might Hannah Baker a situation” to a response of having to go to a certain class and such other things. I checked him about the comment and he checked me about my attitude. Am I in my feelings or is he being rude? Suicide is a very serious subject ,and no one should take the topic lightly.Why do people say such cruel things? The goal of the writers and cast of 13 Reasons Why was for viewers to take away that your actions effects people's​ live whether it’s big or small. People of my generation just really don’t get it, huh?! They’ll probably would get it if (God forbidden) it was their close friend or family member who committed suicide suddenly. You never know how personal someone’s is taking your words or what’s going on in their life. Your tongue is your most powerful weapon but we all know words isn’t the only thing that causes pain. As we seen in 13 Reasons Why, many reasons drove her to commit suicide. The overall lesson I want to get across is don’t make fun of suicide!
